A Vacation is being Planned

Hubby informed me two days ago that he has already put in for his vacation time.
He says that the drivers who put in their requests for holiday vacations, in the beginning of the year always get it.

I have for the last few years been wanting to go on a real vacation. Not like most would do, like going to Hawaii or some other tourist spot. I just want to travel Texas and go visit with the people we love.

We have three grand kids we haven't gotten to met yet! I know that sounds crazy, but for some reason or another we haven't been able to go see them. Trucks broke down or not in good enough condition to travel that far or the lack of money. I want to see them sooo badly!

If I can plan this right, we will be stopping in my childhood town near Dallas to visit with my ex-in-laws (yes, I still love them very much), then on to spend time with the grand kids in Denton. Another hop a few towns over to Azle to visit with our dearest friends and then on to Mingus to spend time with hubbies sister (who we haven't seen in almost ten years!). Then (hopefully) over to Oddessa to visit with another grandson and back down home in eleven days.

This vacation wont happen till Thanksgiving, but just the thought of it has me soo excited! I want to get all the plans just right and the money too!

I'm going to need a babysitter, okay not a real BABYsitter. The question is...can I leave these two cats, here. alone? Will they kill each other, without a mediator to intervene? Ack, who cares! I'm going on VACATION! Just kidding, sorta. LOL!

Can ya tell how much I am looking forward to this? LOL! I'm writing about it, ten months in advance! Okay, I'm cracking myself up. Hard to type when your giggling at yourself.

Okay, I'm back...

Now, this is address to the moon, sun, stars, higher power or whoever or whatever keeps things running smoothly or in alignment...

DON'T screw this up!!!!
Don't mess with me! I am a NANA on a mission!

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts...(trying to find my inner peace) bouncing babies, squeals of delight, hugs and kisses all around and presents galore...Yup, I'm feeling the happy thoughts now.

I thought I would never say this, but come on with the holidays!

So far, I am loving this New Year!

Always easier to deal with time when something fun is planned, even nearly a year ahead of time!
I leave my cats. Someone comes in and refills the dry food and puts out disposeable litter boxes every couple of days.

I hope it doesn't get messed up, I really do! You have family very near where I grew up in Texas. How fun!

Yay for vacation! I personally think half the fun of one is anticipating it! We are planning a Disneyland trip over Thanksgiving this year and it's already killing me...all the waiting. So glad you get to the road and visit with all the ones you've been missing!! =)

Maureen...Thanks for the tip! I forgot about those disposable litter boxes.

SD Cowgirl...Me too! I can't wait to too see them all!

Stephanie...LOL!

Suzicate...Oh, believe me I will! Hubby better not mess this up, or I will be a widow!

Ocean Girl...I think planning the trip will end up being my main focus.

Mindy...I'm looking forward to the visiting part, the travel part is going to be a challange. Dogs on a long trip, is no different then kids. Yah, for you and Disenyland, lucky!

I would just like to go on a vacation that is an actual vacation and not where we are hanging out with my wife's family for a significant part of it.

Oh, YAY! Hey...it's NEVER too early to get excited about a holiday trip! NEVAH!!

You'll have a wonderful time and this gives you a chance to plan and change and replan and save and find a kitty-checker and EVERYTHING.

You go, girl!

It looks like you're going to be in my immediate area (north Fort Worth) so you have to stop by for lunch - no questions asked! :) We're planning a vacation to Houston this summer to see Hubby's bf and have a little fun. I can't wait!
