Randomness of our Weekend

Well technically we are still in our weekend, hubby doesn't go back to work till tomorrow. It has been great having him around to chat with and laugh with and slave for me!

I am such a mean slave driver. I mentioned that it had been a long time since he had done dishes. He asks..Oh yeah, how long? I give him my best bugged eyed glare and tell him...A super duper looooong time! (with the flare of "So there") He washed dishes twice in one day, so I guess I've gotten my glares worth out of him.

We have been having an issue with the neighbors dog jumping the fence. He is on a chain and occasionally he gets it caught and nearly kills himself in his stupidity.

On his side, as he should be.

Climbing the fence as naughty dogs do.

Hi new mommy! NOT, you are going right back mister!

We played this merry-go-round for many many days. Hubby spent Saturday morning fixing the fence.

The fireworks started next door Saturday evening till 1am and again Sunday evening.

This little vibrating baby girl was on my feet every time I stopped moving. I was followed everywhere except outside. When I did come in from outside, she could be found wrapped around the back of hubbies neck. She was scared so bad, she had to be forced to go outside to do her business.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was in and out of the house all weekend. I went for walks and took lots of photos. I think hubby was getting tired of the revolving door, but seriously it was soo hot that I couldn't stay out very long without coming back drenched.
Just a few to tease ya with!
Saturday morning I asked hubby when was the race. Yes I'm talking about NASCAR!
Hubby replies..tomorrow at noon I think.
Later that afternoon I asked him to pull up the menu and see what is coming on TNT that evening.
Well, well, well! Would ya look at that! NASCAR is coming on tonight! Aren't ya glad I bugged you?!!
Seriously folks that was one heck of a race! I'm so glad I had concerns about his theory of them racing on a holiday or we would have missed it! IT WAS AWESOME!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After going to town for our weekly shopping, we watched "Greatest American Hero" all day!

Not recommended for the folks who like more sophisticated television.

That's about all folks!
How was your weekend?

Sounds like a good weekend Heather aside from your dog being scared, we had the same thing with Dixie.

Yes the race was awesome I am so glad Harvick won :)

Our weekend was very noisy. Thank goodness Spunky was not afraid and it was a good thing. We had legals, illegals all around us. I worried that our neighbors mess would catch on fire and get us but didn't happen. Like your pictures.

I'm glad you had a good weekend. I'm sorry your poor baby was so scared. We were at a friend's in Wilmington NC and their poor shepherd was SO scared I think she about shook her house down.

We are hunkered down inside with all our fans (no AC generally needed on Martha's Vineyard but this heat is insane up here) and TV and reading are about it. Oh, and blogging of course...
So I understand about not having "sophisticated" television requirements!
Great photos!

Sounds like you and hubby had a great weekend. I didn't get to watch the race, since I don't have cable. I did watch the Indy race, however. When will Danica win?

We watched Greatest American Hero too. Our Bubba (6 years old) thought it was awesome. Of course he didn't see the grown up humor it as Roy and I did.

Your weekend sounds GREAT! Mine was way too busy, especially Monday watching the girls and a new puppy. I really need some QUIET time, maybe me and Chiquita can get away from NOISE together. HA.

:-)

Wow...sounds like everyone's getting hit with the hot and humids.

And little puppies all across the country cowered and whined during those fireworks....so hard on them!

Love your photos, sweetie!

@Ocean Girl I would have to say that the theme song is the best part of the show!

@SuziCate It was a good weekend and hubby managed to get somethings done around the house.

@Jimmy That race will be in my mind for a very long time, it was just so crazy there at the end.

@Lucy Fire is always a huge concern, but not this year. We had so much the day before, thank goodness.

@pegbur7 That is about what it felt like here. I just don't know how a dog can handle that much stress, I would have to be carted off to the loony bin.

@Maureen@IslandRoar Oh how awful!! I saw that on the news, that it is hotter up there than it is here. Crazy!

@Tinkerschnitzel It would be nice to see her win at least one time.

@Laufa I can image that he would have loved it. I think Robert Culp was pretty funny in it.

@Angelia Sims I am sure she would love some quiet time. First the rain, then the fireworks and now a new puppy to deal with. All my dogs are having a ruff time.

@kathryn Yeah the hot I can handle, it's the humid that does me in.
Thanks!
