What The Heck Is That Smell?

Well I guess it is doggie time. I was going to (bore you to death)tell you all about my weight loss journey, BUT somebody had other plans.

I let the dogs out like I do every morning in my stumbling not awake bumping into things mode.

Everything is nice and quiet and I am waking up the computer.

Stitch barks at the door for me to let him back in, I do.
Minutes later the other two want in.
I am slowly going through my morning routine.

*Sniff* *Sniff*

What the heck is that smell?

I checked all the usual places:

Kitchen closet, maybe it's the trash. Nope.
Under the sink, maybe I finally caught that friggin mouse. Nope.
Open the back door, maybe it's the septic tank. Nope
Litter box? Nope.
(Stitch was helping me with my search, he looked everywhere I looked)

Where the heck is it coming from?

I turned to Stitch to ask this question. (so I wouldn't look like I'm crazy)

I then see it! It being spots on his fur, like he got caught out in the beginnings of a raim storm.

What is that?

I reach down and touch the spots and they are not wet, they are sotra crusty.
I lift my fingers to my nose (thinking it might be oil).

OH MY GAWD!!!

What the heck did you get into???

He was immediately escourted to the kitchen sink, where he promtly got a bath!

So, now he is mad at me and trying to hide in Whiskers basket! LOL!

Lovely way to wake up in the morning!

Ha!
I let out my dogs early this morning and when Sienna was coming back up the driveway from the backyard I could SMELL her before I even SAW her.
Skunk.
Yuck!

Nothing like shampooing youir dog at 5 in the morning! Awful.
But little Stitch looks quite adorable in his little bed. Nice and clean...until the next time when you aren't looking!

Gosh, I hate it when they get into stuff...especially early in the morning because then I really have to wake up and take care of the situation.

No matter what they get into, they're still so lovable!

Ugh, hopefully not the headwaters of a nearby sceptic tank...

When we had a dog, many years ago, my husband would walk her down by the lake where she would proceed to roll around on the dead fish - Ewww. I never let them in the house. My husband knew to take her immediately to the dog groomers to get a bath. (She was way to big for us to bathe her).

Too Funny, but not so early. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Funny when they get into something you can't figure out the smell and they just kind of give you that doggie smile and kiss ya right in the face---now that's love

but it still don't tell you what the smell was

My little fluff-ball of a dog only weighs 8 pounds but manages to attract about 15 pounds of junk everytime he goes outside. Dogs.

F8hasit...Oh my skunk! How do dogs think that is a good smell? Yuck! Horriable thing to do before coffee.

Suzicate...I downed my coffee right before bathing him, just trying to wake up.

Layla...Welcome to my page. You are right, we love them despite the things they get into.

Eric...No thank goodness! If it had been he would have gotten hosed down in the yard! LOL!

Grace...Well I guess if she was already going to the groomers, then why not let her get her thrill.

Lucy...My best guess is a dead snake. Yeah, funny but not funny.

Jimmy...I think he was following me so I would get suspicious, trying to act all innocent.

Mindy...I do thank my luck that my dogs have short hair, that fluff catches everything and would drive me crazy.
