Cigs are in my brain...

The whole process of smoking has really got me on edge and a slump. Not really sure those two feeling can coexist together but it sure feels like they can and are.

Since the hubby is going on 2 weeks tomorrow with no smoking, I have been taking my smoking to the great outdoors instead of torturing him by smoking in the house. This has me down from about 25 cigs a day to right at 8. I am on edge! I fidget in my chair, I can't seem to get comfortable or sit in one spot for too long. I am getting snippy with the animals and feel like I am going to blow my top at them any given moment for the slightest little thing. I think about going outside nearly constantly... in the rain storm or blazing sun, even the mosquitoes don't stop me! It is exactly like quitting drugs...Torture!! And I'm not even quitting, just slowing down.

The slump part is from being unable to keep my focus or interest in what I am doing. Even if I am busy, I feel slow, like everything I am doing is in slow motion and unsatisfying. At first I was crocheting like crazy to keep my mind and my hands busy but even that hasn't worked in two days. I find myself just sitting there staring off in space...think about going outside for that cig.

 Even this post is taking longer than normal cause I keep pausing trying to collect my thoughts and keep them on track. ....bye, thanks for listening to my scrambled brain.

Count to Ten, Breathe and try not to Scream!

This morning started with me opening my eyes, looking at the clock and determining it is too early to get out of bed especially considering this is the third time I have opened my eyes already. First at 3, then at 6 and again at 8. I slept 10 minutes more and Taco was at my door barking to be let outside. I grumble in frustration and go ahead and get up. I didn't even make it to the coffee and hubby is grumbling about the mess that Little Boy had made with the living room in his attempts to find a window that he could get out by. I clean up the mess, head to the coffee only to realize that there isn't any!

Get coffee going, head to the bathroom. The litter box is rank, so had to deal with that. Hubby had thrown a large pile of laundry right in the entrance of the bathroom, I nearly tripped over it this morning, so I guess it is going to be a laundry day. Whiskers threw up and as soon as I had that cleaned up, he did it again! Mind you I still haven't had any coffee yet!

All of this has had me going to the trash can a few times, YES the trash can is overflowing and hubby commented that it needed to go out. Sigh (with some grrrrs).

Hubby informs me I have to hurry up and get to the grocery store, he is on his last bit of Sprite. I sigh. I grab a pen and paper and start my list. BIG sigh! I know I have said it a bunch of times BUT "I hate grocery shopping!". The prices depress me.

Hubby also asks me about his dollar coins that I should have picked up at the bank yesterday when I was there but forgot. This throws me over the top and I get snippy at him. SIGH!

What the heck is taking the friggin coffee so long!!!!!!

Bad sleep, let dogs out, Little Boys mess, NO COFFEE! Litter box, laundry, cat barf, NO COFFEE! Trash, grocery list, snippy at hubby, STILL no friggin COFFEE!

I cheat and steal half a cup from the unfinished pot. Quickly do my budget as I swig it down and am out the door headed to the grocery store. I get back and hubby is busy loading the truck with the trash to take to the dumpster. No help this time. Grumble, grumble. As I am still unloading the car, hubby comes back and informs me that the truck is overdue for an oil change. Okay, since I am still on my feet and outside, I'll head on over to the parts store and pick up the oil and filter.

Ohh but first come look at this, the truck is a quart low on oil. This is why I don't want you taking this truck on long trips! AND look at this hose...he touches the hose...gives it a pull and there ya go! I am officially broke down! The hose broke off and guess what...the parts store doesn't carry it! I'm going to have to try to find it from the dealership.

Thankfully for yall, I am sitting here and finally getting to drink my coffee and hopefully calm down.

Now to get back to that laundry! (But I really just want to go back to bed and try to start this day over)

Her Puppet Masters...

Sitting here drinking my coffee and going through my emails (it's been awhile). I get the weekly newsletter from Mama's Losing It, delivering the prompts for the Writer's Workshop for the week. As you must know already I haven't participated in some time. Anyway I got to last weeks prompts and the vlog option was "Show what a typical day looks like at your house". This tickled my funny bone pretty good. I started envisioning myself sitting down to watch the most boring movie ever! LOL!

She was wakened by a snorting/sneezing dog that was trying to tell her it is time to get your lazy bum up and let me out. She throws back the covers, slips on her slippers and lets all dogs out while keeping an watchful eye on the escape artist cat. She gets her coffee, puts it in the micro, gives the cats their treats and goes to the bathroom. She retrieves her hot coffee, looks over at the computer and tells herself "Stupid! You left the computer on all night". She fixes up her coffee with cream and sugar, steals a sip and puts it down.

Grabs a glass of water and a scoop of cat food. Opens the front door to watch all the kitties come a running. She feeds and waters them and sitently counts to make sure none are missing. Momma and 1,2,3,4,5. Humm, where's the daddy? Oh well, he'll show up.

Back in the house she grabs her coffee and sits down at the computer, time to see what is going on in the world and with my friends. She briefly glances over Facebook. Stitch barks that he wants back in, she waits for all three to come in but of course Taco has to be a little subborn and says no by laying there and ignoring the opened door. She comes back to the computer only to be summoned back to the door just a few short minutes later. False alarm, Tacos just barking for the sake of barking. Again he fools me for a second time, on the third time she forces him to come in so she can stop this merry go round.

Back in front of the computer in her swivel chair. She gets snorted/sneezed at by one dog and whined at by another. She swivels around and asks WHAT? Three beds for three dogs there shouldn't be a problem. Ohh, I see. Tacos bed is occupied by a cat and Stitch wants covers. She fixes the problems and returns to her browsing.

Now that the cat has been awakened and removed from said basket, he needs someone to pick on in his grouchy mood. He picks a fight with Peachy, who was fast asleep in her own basket. This morning is not quite going off without a hitch! She rubs her face in aggervation and heads outside to water the plants.

Anything to get away from being the puppet to the puppet masters. They pull her strings and move her along through another day, but sometimes they try to pull those strings just a little to tight and taunt. This just happens to be one of those mornings.

Lets see if another cup of coffee fixes anything!
If this was a movie, it really would be boring. That was two hours of my morning. Sitting here writing this and doing the same chores I do every morning. The cat fight was not a typical thing but does happen at least twice a week! LOL!

Now it is time to get on the phone and do my daily phone calls to mom and bf. Then it will be time to get some crocheting done before the heat picks up to a miserable 100 degrees.

Sad, Sad Week

This last week has to be the hardest week I have ever went through. My sister in law went to the hospital monday and by the next day she was gone. Not to mention all the other deaths that happened last month and folks having surgery. I feel soo drained and unresponsive to any thing good and funny. This is one of those time when you have been punched in the gut and there is nothing you can do about it, but to eat the pain of it all and try to get back up.

I have always thought it to be best to go quick and have no suffering, instead of having a long drawn out illness. I have come to realise that that is all and good for the person who is dying or has died. BUT for the folks left behind the truth is quiet the opposite. To have someone hanging on deaths door gives the family time to adjust to the fact that the person is going to die, but to have someone ripped from life so suddenly, leaves one doubting that the event ever took place and yet you know it has cause your heart is the heaviest it has ever been.

I have been trying to compose a short bio of my sister in law, how she came into our lives and what she brought to it. I was sure I could whip it out in no time, but no I am having a heck of a time getting my head into it. My emotions keep getting in the way. *Sigh*

It's weird how funerals get a person to think of their own mortality and what sort of things they want to happen at the event of their death. I have been thinking on this alot this last week.

Okay sorry, but this is getting too depresssing and I wont subject to this dreariness any longer.
I'll try again next week.

Vacation Tanked.

I am so disappointed and upset.

Our plans for a real vacation have been shot down by..well all sorts of things. We had planned to go visiting family and friends in a huge triangle of Texas. Grand kids we have never seen and friends that we haven't seen in years and now my bff that I just now got back in touch with after nearly 17 years. The plans and financials had been made back in February. I have been soo good at holding on to a portion of our income tax return, just for this occasion. Even when at times that money could have been used for so many other things, this event was way more important to me. The use of my truck was the key to all of this happening and for some unconscious reason, I refused to make the obvious connection to the loss of my vacation.

My truck has been broke down since April!

Well, it does run sort of. I can take it to the store or the post office, but I have to let it sit and cool off to get it to start again. It chunks black smoke out the tailpipe and has a mind of its own when it comes to speed and brakes. I can't even get it fixed enough to pass inspection in two weeks.

It is the only truck big enough for us to take the dogs with us. If we take his truck we will have to find a dog sitter (I don't know anyone who would do it) or put them in a kennel (which we would never do even if I knew where one was). Bf's live too far away this time for them to come over and check on the cats.

The last time we went out of the area was four years ago. I was just wanting this so badly, I was ignoring the obvious complications in the plan.

How do people just get up and go when ever they feel like it?
How do they deal with pets?

Thankfully the kids are planning to come down next month, but that is only two of the six visits we had on the schedule. I hate when my head clears and problems are finally seen. Where the heck are my rose colored glasses when I need them?

Sigh...very disappointed.

I want to shut down. Walk away from the boxes that are looking at me.

Have ya sat back and wondered "what in the world has happened to Heather"? That girl used to blog everyday, then down to five days, then 4, now we're lucky to get 3 a week from her. What the heck is going on? She worked tirelessly to get to every one's blog. She was dedicated and reliable. What happened to that?

Well folks, I just don't know. Maybe I have hit a slump or maybe I haven't had that much going on lately. Okay that last part is soo wrong. I have been soo busy, I nearly can't think straight. This is a busy I have brought on myself, by the end of the day I just want to vegg out in front of the tv. My poor followers are suffering from my neglect.

I am working on trying to find a balance, it is not easy. I have dove into trying to get my bedroom floor done, before the kids and grand kids get here next month. This requires me to take all my junk and more junk (I'm talking boxes of stuff that I have no place for. A storage shed is needed)out of the room, go through it, weed stuff out and stack it in my kitchen. Just walking around my kitchen to my office is such a maze, it'll make ya dizzy.

Every time I look at the stacks, I sigh and turn away in disgust. The project is soo overwhelming, 60% of the time I don't even want to think about it. These boxes have been in my room for the last two years, cause I knew it was a huge task that I wasn't looking forward to doing. As long as I didn't think about it or have to look at them, everything was hunky dory. I just kept putting it off cause I was waiting for the money for materials to do the floor. Excuses, I know. I could come up with more, but I better stop while I am already digging.

My kitchen bathrooms and living room are always clean, but now you know my dirty little secret. I put things off, if I can hide them from view. LOL!

I thought maybe I could just shove the boxes in hubby's shed. Well..I guess he's as bad as I am, cause I can't even walk into the shed!! He has just as much junk as I do! Although he claims all of his stuff has a purpose, they can all be used at some time or another. Blah blah blah.

Another reason I have been missing in action, is that I have been going out in the evenings (when it is a degree cooler) and walking. On the one day hubby has off, I have been trying to spend with him. You know instead of sitting here in a different room and ignoring him. Okay not ignoring him, but not really being there with him or for him. Not that he complains, I just get conscious of it and feel bad.

On a good day my computer gets too about 20 blogs in 5 hours. Just knowing that and opening my reader, seeing the numbers up in the 50's or even the 70's, makes me sigh and get discouraged. Soo I am back to the same old thing, too much to do and not enough time in the day to do it.

Solution? I don't know if there is one. Sigh.

Overwhelmed, stressed out and way too much on my plate. BLAH! The kids are coming, ALL of them and now my bff is planning to come. The house looks like a storage unit and I am out of ideas, woman power and space. Oh yeah and get up and go! You know I just realized I am putting all these boxes in the wrong place. When I get the wood to do the floor, I'll never be able to get it into the room. SIGH...Bang head on desk!

Why is it the more you have to do, the less you want to do it? AND how do you cut corners to get it all done?

UGH! BLAH! ACHOO!

Yes it has been one of those days.
I have slept and slept a total of 8 1/2 hours and still I lazy around wanting to go back to bed.
Yes, I am still in my pj's, have been all day.
I have drank nearly a pot of coffee and still have my eye lids drooping.

I have done nothing all day. You would think that would be enjoyable, but no it is frustrating. The laundry is still in the dryer and the dishes still in the strainer. The dogs are looking at me like I am soo neglectful and playless.

ALLERGIES are the evil that has invaded my mind and body. The sneezing, the blowing, the coughing and the zapped energy are the mass of me.

Niece...Please hurry up and make your arrival! I need your daddy to come do my yard again, I suffer from trying to do it myself.

I don't know what it is about mowing grass that makes me miserable for a day or two afterwards. Surely I'm not allergic to grass or I would be like this all the time. Whatever, I'm too...everything to think about it.

A fresh box of tissues, some meds and AHH at last BED!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the much need rest and meds, I woke up feeling great.
So great in fact I actually went outside and caught the sunrise. Wow, it has been a really long time since I has seen the dew in the morning and the sun peeking up on the horizon/tree line. Very lovely.
Bad morning for me and the Pets.
I read so many blog posts last night, I didn't even get to do one for myself.
I still had eleven left to read after 5 hours of reading, needless to say I gave up and went to bed.
Woke up in a fowl mood from Taco's constant sneezing for me to let him out. Another morning of throwing back the covers and grumbling. Yes I am still peeved at him!
The kicker to my morning was to find my little hibiscus plant that I keep on the window sill above the sink, all over the floor! Potting soil everywhere! The monster Whiskers was apperently after something in the window and knocked all that was up there down into the sink or on the floor.
Still waiting for the coffee to get done, so maybe I can find the funnier side to it all!
Well just incase you hadn't noticed...I have a new Blogger page called Nana's Nature , it is a place where I have been posting one photo everyday. Do me a favor and check it out!
AND now for some coffee and to tackle the 20 blog post on my Reader's list.
Woes with me!
Just a quick note...
Phone issues is still unresolved! Ever once in a while I can get online, but it is a crap shoot as to how long it will last. Yesterday it was 20 minutes and then again for a whole 30 seconds. I am at my wits end as to what to do. The repairman says he has been here twice! I have been working in the yard for two days staight and have yet to see him pull into my driveway. Why he is lying is beyond me!
I will be back when ever I can. I feel like I am stuck in a time loop that has no end! I'll just be here going round for round with the insanity of it all!
If I can't get back before the weekend...have a good one.
Frustrating For Me and Painful For Taco Bell
Well two things were occupying my day yesterday.
First: Trying to make my brain explode! I've been trying to get my signature added to my posts since Thursday evening. Jimmy over at Just My Opinion has been trying to help my inadequate brain to get it done.
I told hubby I wish he knew about computers and he say "I know how to stay away from them!" LOL!
Believe me..even for my brain this thing is a huge puzzle, literally scratching my head! I got the pic but for the life of me can't get it on the post. I might have it figured out before I am done writing this post, but I highly doubt it.
Second: Taco Bell has been is pain today. His old age is catching up to him, I think. He has had me worried all day! I noticed it Thursday evening, he all of a sudden let out a yelp and then again later on. Within six hours he had yelped 4 times and this morning he wasn't in bed with me. I found him laying in the office on their pillows. He has never done that, so I knew something was wrong.
Later in the day I noticed some strange behavior. I was sitting right here in the office and looked around on the floor and he wasn't here. I got up to find him standing on the rug in front of the sink, just standing there. He was acting as if it hurt him to lay down or move from where he was. I tried to pick him up, but putting my hands around his ribcage made him yelp.
I put off giving him his half a baby aspirin cause I thought his usual morning pains would eventually ease up as the day went on as they usually do. Well not today! I did give him his aspirin, but didn't see any results from it for two more hours.
It was a ruff day for the both of us!
I wanted to share some random pics with ya.
False Fronts
I believe you have all seen the pics of my yard in horrible need of mowing. With that in mind, it is safe to say I am not the best yard keeper by any means. My grass gets unruly and my flowerbeds have been taken over by the weeds.
I do have some things out there that I fully intend to address as soon as it quits raining.
Like..
Two stacks of cement slabs (for a walkway), that haven't made it to the ground yet.
Some odds and ends of empty flower pots.
A mirror that hubby had leaning against the fence and the wind knocked it over and broke it. I have yet to clean it up.
Yes, I'm a little lazy for not having done these things.
Here is my issue...
I was mowing the grass on the third day of no rain. The lawnmower didn't like the idea cause the grass was still pretty wet. Oh well, it had to be done before I go crazy! I couldn't stand it any longer, not with the threat of more rain in the forecast!
As I was mowing, I was noticing little pieces of trash in the back yard. I'm hoping it was just the wind and not thrown over the fence on purpose. A few pieces, but enough for me to take real good notice of my neighbors yard.
These people haven't lived here but four months and their yard has trash all over the place! I'm not talking a few scrap pieces of paper. No, this is like someone dumped out several bags of household trash in their yard and spread it out all over the place.
My neighbor pulls into their driveway, goes in the house and comes back with some cleaning supplies. Obviously, she's not going to use that stuff on the yard.
On my next round, I notice that she is sitting on the ground cleaning the....
RIMS OF HER CAR!!
Seriously?! I was dumb founded!
Why on earth would it be so important for folks to see you driving around in a super clean car, in the middle of the rainy and muddy season?
Look at me in my super clean car, pumping my bad ass tunes for everyone to hear, so they will look at me! I am falsely advertising myself but as long as they don't go to my house, they will never know.
I just don't get it.
Why do people feel the need to put on a false front?
Trying to convince other people in public that they are one thing, but really at home they are the total opposite.
Another example of false fronts...
A family walks into the church on Sunday and present themselves as a perfect family.
When they get back home, it is total different story.
I can be guilty of putting on a false front. If I know I got company coming, I clean like a mad woman. All the little stuff I ignore most of the time. Like..cleaning the A/C or taking apart the fan. All of that is mostly for allergy control, considering most of my family have asthma.
Any ideas on why people do this, instead of being true to themselves?
Or
Share an example of a false front you have experienced or done.
All in about Fifteen Minutes
I'm trying to avoid getting up and out of my warm bed, just one peek out of the covers reveals a chilly morning.
Stitch is laying to my right and all you can see is the tip of his nose, poking out from the covers. He lets out a bark right in my ear. I mumble the sound of an "uh-uh", that is code word for..No, stop it or shut up. He settles down and not even two minutes later does it again. Okay that's it..I'm up!
I throw back the covers and am greeted by sudden gush of COLD! I grab my housecoat, slip on my slippers and stumble my way towards the front door.
My cats greet me at the kitchen table, sitting next to their bowls. (no worries folks, we don't eat off that table) They look like they had been waiting for some time. Little blurrs of statues, that are yelling at me.
I walk on by, still trying to make it to the front door. Stitch, in his trying to hurry me along, trips me. Way to go buddy! The front door at last, open the door, try to open the storm door and crap it's stuck. The dogs are looking at me like.. hurry up already or your going to get an accident to clean up in your morning haze! Apparently the house is trying it's best to keep out the frigged temps, good job house but open up! I had to give it a major push, sounded like I broke it.
Dogs out!
Check over the storm door, not broke. I think, too hazy to tell right now.
I walk back to kitchen, push ON button for computer. Over to the coffee maker, at last my precious, I am here. Pour me a cup and walk it over to the micro, turn around and give the cats something to shut up about. No, I didn't hurt them, I gave them their treats.
Head to the bathroom. Come back get coffee out of micro, walking it to the counter and stumble on my own foot. Coffee goes dribbling down the front of my housecoat. I haven't even been up five minutes and I am already having a messed up morning.
I clean up my housecoat and fix my coffee. I sit down to the computer and Taco lets me know he and Chaquita is ready to come back in. Again I have to struggle with the storm door. In not wanting to close it till Stitch comes in I try to hurry him along. I look this way and that way and he is nowhere in sight, he must be in the back yard. I give up, shut the door and come back to the computer..
I hear Stitch bark his one bark for let me back in. I go to the door and he's not there. I figured I didn't get up fast enough and he ran after something or changed his mind. I come back to the computer.
Again, he barks. Again I go to the door and he's not there. What the Heck is going on? Am I losing my mind? While standing there and briefly contemplating this, he barks again. It sounds like it's coming from under my feet. I go out and call him, scan the area. He barks and my eyes fall on him.
He is under the house and looking up at me with HELP written all over his face.
I ask..How the heck did you get under there?
He responds with a bark and tail wagging. You would think he's happy to see me! I don't know why? From what I see by scanning the area of the porch, I might not be able to help him. Mind you, I have only had two SIPS of coffee!
He can be stupid and smart at the same time. As I am wondering how to help him, he paws at some cement slabs. I had propped them up there over a year ago to keep the neighbors cat from getting under there. It was like he was telling me how to get him out.
I remove the slabs and he squeezes out.
Happiest dog ever!!
As I am checking to make sure he didn't hurt himself, I get my face cleaned! EWW, Gross!! Stop that and be still! I was talking to the wind, cause he wasn't listening!
Don't go under there again, cause next time I'm not helping you! (Yeah, right)
You Lift My Spirits
This week has been a rough one.
My father went to his usual Dr's appointment Monday and they admitted him. He has Emphysema real bad. While waiting for my mother to call me back, one of my bfs calls. Her hubby has been in the hospital for two months now (heart troubles and strokes) and it doesn't look good. She went to the hospital herself three weeks ago and they found something. After further tests, it has been confirmed as lung cancer. My other bf is watching her beloved dog of 15+years very closely, he's not doing good either. Mother finally gets to call me back and she's not doing so great, her asthma has been kicking her butt. Plus she has to try to help my sis with the new baby and deal with her husband in the hospital in a different county with no wheels to get to see him.
I feel like walking away from this week or at least the phone.
Yeah, I've been in a funk.
BUT, there is a bright side...
Everyday (sometimes twice a day), I open my email to see my comments.
Yall just have this way about getting me to laugh, in spite of my worries or funk.
This week alone I have been tagged, received an award and won a key chain!
Some of those comments yesterday had me roaring a good belly laugh. The idea that there is no sex..OMG how can that be? The world has stopped turning!!! LMAO!!!
I have also meet some new bloggers that I have decided to follow. I know I shouldn't be adding more to my list, cause I can barely keep up with all of yall but I couldn't help myself.
Here are some of my new peeps:
Here is what I think...
The tagging, I'm still working on that. It is really long.
The award..just so wonderful and beautiful..The Sunshine Award given to me by My Walking Path.
The rules are to give this to 12 peeps, let them know about it in their comments and link the giver.
I am such a break the rules kinda girl. I say it goes to all of you, cause yall are my sunshine on these cloudy days. Take it, enjoy it and pass it on if ya want.
You all make my day, every day!
Another reason to be thankful...
Be thankful that you only have to look at these once and then they will be gone, maybe!
Sorry if some get stuck in your mind.
The good food you are about to feast on might wipe it from your memory. One can hope, can't they!
Here are the gawd awful pics of me..
That was just mean of me, wasn't it?
Sorry to put a damper on you Thanksgiving mood.
You should all be "Thankful" you don't look like me! LOL
Seven Things About My Bad Day
Yesterday was awful! I was moody, cranky and very short with my hubby, family and even my pets.
Lets talk about these "pets". Your probably wondering why the quotation marks on pets. Even if you weren't wondering I will tell you anyways. Told you I was cranky!
Usually on any other day they would be called My Babies!
Intros...L to R
Taco Bell (Old, sweet and most of the time laid back. Also the daddy of..)
Stitch (Loud, playful, and instigator)
Chaquita (Miss bad***, hubbies little girl and Stitches back up)
1) I was jerked out of sleep by a loud bark in my ear at 7am. Way too early for my taste I am instantly aggravated! I jump up out of bed Crap it's cold and open the front door to see what is the matter, it was just the neighbors making noise.
The neighbors...They are very close and any noise made inside their house or even outside. Send my dogs into a barking mob. Their daughter, hubby and 2 babies have moved back in, so the noise level has increased. Apparently the SIL has to do something under the hood of his van to get it started. The slam of the hood is what got Stitch going this morning. Oh and they have a new outdoor dog, that mine can see and drives them crazy! Bark, bark, bark and 100 more!
2) Bumped into this and that, stumped my toe, spilled my coffee all over the floor. I got some leftover Chili out for lunch and mirco'ed it, while taking it out Fumble I had to catch the falling HOT bowl before it hit the floor, Splash all over my shirt. HOT HOT HOT! After showering, I'm like..maybe it's time to try to recapture that hour Stitch stole from me.
3) Today was my parents 33rd anniversary, I had tried to call them earlier (in between the coffee and chili), no answer. I had just gotten snuggled in, was almost asleep and the phone rang. Caller ID...it's mom. I lay there and gave my wishes and hung up. Not even 3 minutes later...it's dad! Ever since dad got his computer, he has become a long talker. I chanced it and took the call, thankfully he was busy with the grand kids. Finally I am back under the covers and sleep comes at last! 20 minutes , that is all the DOGS could give me! Grrrrr...
4) Bark, bark, bark...What is it now?! The trailer on the opposite side is up for rent and the landlord is showing it. Slamming doors, the roar of a four wheeler and strange voices. Will Yall Please Be Quite!! I even brought out the flyswatter, no spanks but the threat of one. I know...bad momma.
5) I thought...maybe if I turn the T.V. on and find something good to watch, I can calm down and get my zen back. As I am randomly punching numbers of my favorite channels, punched up 163 (instead of 168) and got this page saying it was loading an update. I'm like..what the ***? I think maybe I upgraded our package to the next level by mistake. Oh no no no no no! I hope not!
6) Hubby calls at 3:30, he will be home in 10 minutes. Home early again, grrr. Where is all the work? I let the dogs out to do their business, before I have to put them back in the house so I can open the gate for hubby. Thankfully there is a fence between us and the neighbors. Their new dog was laying against the fence and my dogs went into attack mode. Hair rising on their backs and well you know..bark, bark bark! I had to slap two plastic bowls together to get their attention! Broke a nail...Grrr...
7) I hurriedly get the roast going. 5 o'clock I pull it out and ohh it smells good! I'm thinking finally something is going right, WRONG!! I cut into it and CRAP it's not done. I forgot to reset the temperature!
I gave up and hubby took over. Sweet hubby knows when I have peaked my limit.
Sorry to have laid this bad day on yall. Writing it out, calms me.
Efforts to mow
Hubby started the mowing process 2 days ago and got about 1/4 of it done before the lawn mower started acting up. He says the yard is going to have to wait till he fixes it. I am just not that patient! Today I decide I would take my chances and see how far I can get before it acts up. One row! I messed with it and managed to get another row, repeated the process and got 1/2 a row. Finally I gave up! I was getting to frustrated with it and the humidity is outrageous!
I cool off and decide to do what I can with the weed eater. I didn't get hardly anywhere and the last of the string flys out. Grrr! I hop in the truck and go to the hardware store, friggin $10 for string! My budget is on its final drops. I need to do it though, I have got to get this yard mowed before it starts raining again.
While loading the string on the spool I noticed the outer casing was cracked, oh well, I've got work to do. I was right down to one corner in the front by the gate and a small stretch in front of the shed behind the house. The whole spool goes flying across the yard with the string curling itself around the shaft. What a mess, it took me awhile to get it all untwisted and in the process broke my nail down past the meat. Now I am bleeding and hot and sweaty, the flies are landing on me, the mosquitoes are biting me and I didn't even get to finish! I am not have a good day!!
That was yesterday. Today hubby took me shopping and I now have a brand new lawnmower! My first ever! I am so thrilled, I want to go get that bit I had left done. Unfortunately it hasn't stopped raining since this morning.
