Well with dad being old and clumsy and all the grand kids being there quite often, things get spilled. Dad's wheelchair leaks grease or oil and of course the weather causes dirty carpets too.
We went through things, fixed things and threw away a lot. Then we went about doing the carpets, by hand! There I was down on my hands and knees scrubbing the carpet. OMGoodness, my knees!! Thankfully my sisters helped out as much as they could.
At one point or another I had to help get Mom or Dad off the floor. Dad grunted and groaned. Mom was stuck good and it sounded like all her bones creaked and cracked in trying to get up.
We were all an awful sight!
In going to help out I got to finally get to see the latest addition to our family.

I am soo tired and managed to hurt myself many times! I think I might have to lay off on my yard work, at least till my knees and my ankle heal!
